This segment incorporate news from Dane County Regional Airport
It is winter in Wisconsin, so that means it is time to plan spring travel! There are lots of great direct destinations from MSN, one of the most accessible airports in the country with great, affordable parking. If you’re there, check out several of the great, new restaurants, including Vinoteca Wine & Tapas. If you’re planning a trip, check out a few newsworthy notes from the Airport Director:
A community gathering in support of our neighbors subject to deportation or discrimination. You are invited to join the city-wide gathering to support our community's immigrant residents in the face of potential changes by the next Federal administration. The event will be held on Sunday, January 29, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Monona Terrace.
United We Stand, organized by a committee of community leaders, Madison Common Council members, led by Ald. Samba Baldeh, and Jewish, Christian and Muslim faith leaders, will provide information on the legal rights of immigrants, the perspectives of local, state and national elected officials and how we can help each other in the difficult times ahead.
Speakers include Mayor Soglin, representatives of the Latino and Muslim civil rights organizations, the ACLU and faith leaders. The afternoon meeting will be moderated by Rev. Everett Mitchell, Dane County Judge and Pastor of Christ the Solid Rock Church.
Location: Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center, One John Nolen Drive, Madison, WI 53703

Perfect for holiday shopping, showcasing more than 1000 pieces created by MSCR Pottery Instructors, lab participants and local artists. Proceeds support the MSCR Pottery Program. For more information, visit the MSCR website.
Retired and Senior Volunteer Program's recruitment and placement of volunteers in Dane County schools is especially important at this time of year as the schools prepare for their second semester needs for tutors and other classroom support.
Seniors and Veterans of all ages really depend on our drivers to get them to appointments and deliver them meals to help them maintain their independence so the need for drivers is both urgent and ongoing.
In addition, because the potential pool of senior volunteers is rapidly expanding, RSVP is an important resource for other Dane County nonprofits who are seeking volunteers for specific jobs in their organizations.
Volunteers are a huge source of support to people of all ages in our community!
Santas Without Chimneys is an independent, all-volunteer, ask-based, crowd-sourced, non-faith-based holiday gift donation drive for homeless children in Dane County. We have fulfilled the wishes of hundreds of local children every year since 2012. We work through local schools and social workers to contact homeless families and teens and ask for wishlists from each child. Our gifts are then carefully selected to match the kids' interests, hobbies, and wishes, and we deliver the gifts directly to wherever our families are staying.
For donation and volunteer information please visit our website: http://www.santaswithoutchimneys.org .
SWC is an organization focused on helping the homeless in our community. As such, any and all support from our community is greatly appreciated.
